It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mabelle R. Ewald (Monroe, Wisconsin), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on August 15, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph E. Rhea, Sr. and Mabelle Rhea; her brothers, Robert Rhea and Joseph E. Rhea, Jr.; and her brother-in-law Don Szopinski.
She is survived by: her sister Ethlyn Szopinski of Lubbock, Texas; her sister-in-law Lorrie Rhea of Raleigh, N. C.; her grandchildren, Jennifer Ewald of Madison, Jeffrey Ewald of Monroe and Michael Ewald of Sydney, Australia; and her great grandchild Isabella Esquivel of Madison. She is also survived by her three sons.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Badger Honor Flight, District 1 EMS or the World War II Memorial.
