He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Swiggum and Ruth Swiggum (Butler); his siblings, Gary Swiggum and Carla Rundle; his brother-in-law Phillip Rundle; and his parents-in-law, John and Eileen LaBorde.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Swiggum of Monroe; his children, Eric Swiggum (Christine) of Mt. Horeb, Wendy Horbinski (Mark) of Necedah and Jill Leitzen (Kirk) of Brodhead; his grandchildren, Maddie, Sydnee Swiggum, Haley, Tripp and Trey Horbinski; his brother Neil Swiggum; his sister-in-law Marcia Swiggum; and his nephew Torry Swiggum of Wiota.
