He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Gudenkauf and Emma Gudenkauf (Niehaus); his wife Margaret A. Summer; his children, Joseph and Anne; and his sister Norma Boehm.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Gudenkauf of Mebane, NC, Jean Gadamus (Jerry) of Iola, WI, Joan Schollmeier (Michael) of Peoria, IL and James Gudenkauf (Sandra) of Monroe, WI; his grandson Eric; and his siblings, Betty Marschke, Alvin Gudenkauf (Judy) and Mary Stanley (Richard). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
