She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Dietzman and Nettie Dietzman (Narveson); her husband Florian R. "Bud" Handel; and her brothers, Roger and Harland.

She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Cline (Bruce) of Monroe, Sharon Handel of Roanoke, IN, Rosemary Handel of Monroe, Terry Handel (Connie) of Sycamore, IL, Diane Handel of Wake Forest, N. C. and Rita Schriver (Steve) of Snohomish, WA.; and her brothers, Rossmore Dietzman (Shirley) of Jefferson, WI and Homer Dietzman (Helen) of Mt. Horeb. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Green County Food Pantry in Arlene's name.
