She was predeceased by: her sister Ann Jones (Silverness); and her parents, Julia Silverness (Whelan) and Joseph Silverness. She is survived by: her children, Christopher Knutson (Yelena), Charles Knutson (Koree) and Carol Krantz (Knutson); and her grandchildren, Ben, Alex, Carly, Freja, Grace and Chad.
Susan loved all animals and especially cats and besides financially supporting the ASPCA and PAWS, she donated the land to the Buffalo County Humane Society in Mondovi.
