She was predeceased by: her parents, Selmer Mahlum and Bertha Mahlum (Dregney); her son Mike; her siblings, Bernice and Dale; her brothers-in-law, Ken, Roy and Ebert; and her stepdaughter Lynn.
She is survived by: her former husband Lyman Franzwa; her spouse Albin "Al" Santala; her children, Jeff Franzwa (Sherrie) and Holly Rigotti (Jon); her daughter-in-law Tina Franzwa; her stepchildren, Charlene Gearing (Larry), Alan Santala (Karen) and Jon Santala; her grandchildren, Emily, Ahmi (James), Zachary (Margaret), Katelyn, Allison (Tyler), Justin, Larissa (Blaire), Aarika (Kalin), Travis, Cory (Erin), Stephanie (Matt) and Tara; her great grandchildren, Penelope, Lorelai, Taylor, Emily, Maxwell, Morgan, Mira, Ben and Finley; her siblings, Ed Mahlum (Shirley), Elaine Heike, Esther Alme and Keith Mahlum (Sandy); and her sister-in-law Katie Mahlum.
LaVonne was able to see many of her family members after COVID restrictions were lifted, including the newest addition to the family, four-month-old Lorelai, who visited in June.
