She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Ottum and Mildred Ottum (Thompson); her husband Joe Hiemer; her brother Merle Ottum; and her brother-in-law John Paul.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Hiemer of Eleva, Jeffrey Hiemer (Ruth) of Mondovi and Patty Palacios of Bloomington, MN; her grandchildren, Jordan Hiemer of Mondovi, Jared Hiemer (Katelynn Monson) of Eau Claire, Joey of Bloomington, MN and Josie Palacios of Bloomington, MN; and her sisters, Jean Paul of Brandon, FL and Joann Bartilson of Rock Hill, SC. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
