He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas L. Thompson and Helen Thompson (Urness); his wife Karen Olson; and his siblings, Clifford, Raymond, Alger, Agnes Johnston and Bonnie Laehn.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tamara Hassell of Ft. Walton Beach, FL and Kathleen Gaustad (Eric) of La Crosse; his grandchildren, Tonya Hassell, Erika, Matthew and Samuel Gaustad; his great grandchildren, Trevor, Kaison, Elaine and Klaus; and his close friend JoAnne Erickson of Mondovi. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
