He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Samz and Frances Samz (Reuter); his wife Annette V. Brockhoff; and his children, Lori Samz and William Samz, Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Christine Adams (Stephen) of Troy, Charles Samz (Linda) of Two Rivers, Gregg Samz (Mary Deane) of Mishicot, Amy Dudley (John) of Mosinee and Trudi Johnson (Robert) of Manitowoc; and his sisters, Helen Koch and Marietta Samz. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
