With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Samz Sr. of Mishicot, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 22, 2020 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Samz and Frances Samz (Reuter); his wife Audrey; his daughter Kathleen; his son-in-law Dale Aulik; and his parents-in-law, Paul and Anna Brockhoff.
He is survived by: his children, Mary (Michael Finnel), Barbara (James Retzlaff), JoAnn Aulik (Peter), Joseph Jr. (Earlene Samz), Jeffrey Samz and Tracy Samz (Paul); his great grandchildren, Christy Retzlaff, Angie Retzlaff (Dave), Amy, Chris Byrnes, Michael, Missy Finnel, Carl, Joshua Samz, Emily, Ryan Mueller, Hannah and Robin Adams; his brother Bill; his sister-in-law Annette Samz; his sisters, Helen Koch and Marietta Samz; his sisters-in-law, Shirley Samz and Janet Brockhoff; and also, Stasya, Alex, Gabe, Josephine, Juliette, Larry and Ricky. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A private family Mass, officiated by the Rev. Jeffrey Briones, will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot, due to the current health pandemic and for everyone's safety.
