He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie; his children, Glenn Jr. Nelson (Deb) of Oshkosh, Michael Nelson (Brenda) of Neenah, Susan Sprackling of Sparta, Kim Gualtieri (John) of Stillwater, MN and Greg Nelson (Rose) of Slinger; his grandchildren, Bryce (Kelley), Ryan (Kelsey), Carley, Lucas, Casey, Ben, Michaela, Austin, Alec, Grace, Alex and Alden; his mother-in-law Ida Alsteen of Luxemburg; his sister Elizabeth "Bette"; his brother-in-law Donald Delvoye; his sister Patricia; and his father-in-law James Alsteen.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his name.
