He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Sannwald and Maisie Goodell Sannwald; his parents-in-law, George and Rubie Hanacek; his siblings, Helen, Naomi Kirk (Ray), Ted Sannwald, Doris Sannwald and Virginia Hitzemann; and his brothers-in-law, George Hanacek and Gerald Hanacek.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hanacek Sannwald; his daughters, Terri Johnson (Kevin) of Spooner and Mary Elliott (Dan) of Shell Lake; his grandchildren, Brad Johnson (Lindsay) of Shawano and Beth Rank (Chris) of Springbrook; his great grandchildren, Isaac, Charlotte Johnson, Emma and Owen Rank; and his siblings-in-law, Dick Hitzemann, Joan Hanacek and Vonna Duch. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
