He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Schmidt and Flossie Schmidt (Radke); his daughter Debra; and his siblings, Eunice and Jim.
He is survived by: his sons, Dennis (Barb) and David (Kathy); his former wife Judith Egeland; and his wife Judy. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
