Melvin Arthur Schwark Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Arthur Schwark (Minocqua, Wisconsin), who passed away on November 26, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schwark and Johanna Schwark (Hoffman); his siblings, Carl and Carol (Revels); his sister-in-law Jean (Zimpel); his son-in-law Georgiy (Soloviyov); and his brother Ralph Schwark.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Zimmerman (Zimmerman); his children, Lori Wetterau (Jim), Ann Haselerhansen (Corey), Meliza Lane (Nathan), Kathryn Bonavita (Kevin), Mikal Schwark, Emma Ganey, Samuel Schwark and John Schwark (Jessica); his grandchildren, Tatyana Mueller (Jacob), Amber Wetterau, Yuri, Sadie Soloviyov (Bolton), Aleksei Soloviyov, Katya Soloviyov, Christina Haselerhansen, Elise Bush (Jake), Dorothea Haselerhansen, Alex, Ashley Lane (Black), Abigail Lane, Andrew Lane, Vincent Bonavita, Victoria Bonavita, Simon Peter Schwark, Josefina Maria Schwark, Kaitlynn Ganey, Caleb Ganey, Judah Ganey, Malachi Schwark, Levi Schwark, Wilhelm Schwark and Walter Schwark; and his great grandchildren, Anita and Henrik Bush.

Well done, good and faithful servant!In remembrance of Pastor Schwark's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the WELS Christian Aid and Relief Resource Center or the WELS Seminary for Tuition Assistance.

“It is with deep sorrow that we send our sympathy to the entire Schwark family. Pastor, fresh out of the Seminary, was a wonderful and caring aid to us at the time of my brother's death at Christmas time in 1964. It seemed like he became a part of our family.
