She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Schaefer and Lucille Schaefer; her husband Glenn Ross; and her grandson Gage. She is survived by: her children, Kim Ross of Minocqua, WI, Chris Ross of Oswego, IL and Brian Ross of Fargo, ND; her grandsons, Aiden and Kobe Ross of Plano, IL; and her siblings, Patricia Hartmann (Kenneth), Joan Gillette (David LeFavour) of Rockford, IL, Kathleen Thorp (Daniel) of Chanhassen, MN and Michael Schaefer (Patricia) of Aurora, IL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Karen enjoyed volunteering for the Howard Young Foundation and the Lakeland Food Pantry, gardening, bird watching, baking, and participating in church bible studies.
