He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wilmer Yelton and Velma Yelton; his wife Janet Zoe Birkholz; his brothers, Willy and Dan (Janet); his children, Kim Christensen (Bob) of Wausau, Hal Yelton (Gail) of Minocqua, Jackie Duerst (Paul) of Manitowish Waters and Chris Garcia (Robert) of Hazelhurst; his grandchildren, Brent, Megan, Luke, Jake, Laurel, Stephen, Drew, Lauren, Logan, Nick, Nikolai, Hanna, Jack and Georgia; and his pet Kate. He was also cherished by 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, all monetary gifts will be distributed to local charities including Lakeland Swim Club Scholarship Fund.
