It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene P. Duerst (Minocqua, Wisconsin), born in New Glarus, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 3, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer Duerst and Mavis Duerst (Figy). He is survived by: his wife Norma; his children, Kim Widmer (Dan) of Minocqua, Paul Duerst (Jackie) of Wausau and Peter Duerst (Laurie) of Waterford; his grandchildren, Whitney Martinez (Chris), Danielle Kretz (Kelly), Stephen Duerst (Cate), Lauren Slagowski (Jordan), Logan, Nikolai, Erica, Hannah, Jack and Nick Duerst; his great grandchild Clara Duerst; and his siblings, Carol Hustad (Dave) and Wayne Duerst.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made via check to the Eugene Duerst Lakeland Area Scholarship Fund, 8070 Brinkland Drive, Minocqua, WI 54548 in memory of Gene Duerst.
