He was predeceased by: his wife Lois M. Whitford; his father Lawrence Whitford; his mother-in-law Elsie Whitford; his brother Delwin Buckingham; his brothers-in-law, Raymond McCarville, Charles Noble and Ellsworth Peterson; and his niece Charlotte Rule.
He is survived by: his son William W. Buckingham (Lynne) of Mount Horeb; his grandson William R. Buckingham of Monona; his great grandchildren, Lois and Eleanor; his grandson Brendan Buckingham (Alisa) of Mount Horeb; his great grandchildren, Avalyn, Eliana and William R. F.; his grandson Baird Lackner-Buckingham (Kristin) of Mount Horeb; his great grandchildren, Audrie, Kieran and Kinslie; his daughter Lynda Thomas (David) of Madison; his grandson Tristan Thomas (Erika) of Chicago; his great grandchildren, Elsie and Holden; his granddaughter Carrie Thomas-Wink (Steven) of Franklin, TN; his great grandchildren, Abbigail, Cambrie, Lillie and Emerson; his granddaughter Melissa Marek (Daniel) of Madison; his great grandchildren, Collette and Simone; his son Blane Buckingham (Melissa) of Colgate, WI; his granddaughters, Lauren Buckingham of Hobart, WI and Megan Buckingham (Grayson Borrego) of Athens, GA.; his sisters, Joyce Peterson of Madison and Wilma McCarville of Oregon, WI; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Buckingham and Virginia Noble of Mineral Point. He is also survived by his 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Bill's name to the M.P. Rescue Squad, 907 Ridge St., Mineral Point, WI 53565; the M.P. Congregational-UCC church, 300 Maiden St., Mineral Point, WI 53565; or a local charity of your choice.
