He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie Zwald and Mary Zwald (Synon). He is survived by: his sisters, Cindy Zwald, Beth Thomas (Mike) and Patti Steine (David) of Nashville, TN.; his son Nick Poels of Plymouth, MN; his niece Denise Thomas; his nephew Jeremy Thomas (Heidi); his great-nephew Dean; his nephew Joseph Steine; his niece Mara Steine; and his aunt Rosie Franke. He is also survived by several cousins and the many life-long friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Dodgeville Public Library, 139 S. Iowa Street, Dodgeville, WI 53533.
