He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie U'Ren and Myrtle U'Ren (Harris); his wife Betty; his son Richard; his siblings, Robert, Merle, Alice, Marian and Gwendolyn; his grandson Corry; and his great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Hunter.

He is survived by: his children, Michael U'Ren (Nancy) of Fitchburg and Patricia Coogan (Bob) of Mineral Point; his daughter-in-law Elaine U'Ren; and his grandchildren, Mary Christianson (Joe), Lauri U'Ren (Terry Lauffer), Jason U'Ren (Tara), Kelly U'Ren, Chad U'Ren (Jolene), Brian U'Ren (Justin), Tammy Coogan (John) and Jamie Coogan. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
