He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schaaf and Loretta Schaaf (Dochnahl); and his siblings, John Schaaf, Paul Schaaf, Vincent Schaaf, Ann Cutler, Mary Henkel, Dorothy Saar and Henrietta McCaulley.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Schaaf (Streng); his son Jonathan Schaaf (Sarah); his sister Charlotte Douglas; and his sister-in-law Doris Schaaf. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In honor of his generosity, those who are able are encouraged to send a donation to the Iowa County Food Pantry or another suitable charity.
