Eileen Marie Marcedes Drake Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 20, 2025, at the age of 76, Eileen Marie Marcedes Drake of Mineral Point, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Goldthorpe and Claire Goldthorpe; her sisters, Dorothy, Marsha and Terri; her brother-in-law Dick Jelle; her nephews, Jeremy Olson and Tylor Wilson; and her niece Pam Kinsman.
She is survived by: her husband David Drake; her children, Sheila Dempsey (John), Katherine Drake, Daniel Drake (Amber), Davida Drake, Donald Drake, Tammy Bradshaw and Jimmy Slater; her grandchildren, Jamie, Jessica, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Savannah, Cameron, Raymond, Parker, Jack, Jameson, Gavin, John, Shayna and Shania; and her siblings, Mary Murphy (Ray), Colleen Hooks (Lenny), Lori McGowan (Mike), Daniel Goldthorpe (Kaye), Roberta Jelle and Robert Goldthorpe.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 10:50 AM at the St. Paul's Cemetery (809 Ridge St, Mineral Point, WI 53565). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's & St. Paul's Catholic Church (224 Davis St, Mineral Point, WI 53565-1113).
To honor Eileen's love for nature and her community, memorial donations may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation's Memorial Tree Program, or a tree may be purchased through Aspen Ridge to be planted within the Mineral Point community—a lasting tribute to her appreciation for the outdoors.
