It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Fitzsimmons (Mineral Point, Wisconsin), who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Edwin Donald, Jr.; and his brother Doug. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Symons; his children, Amber Arrington (Steve), Kyle Fitzsimmons (Brittany) and Luke Fitzsimmons; his grandchildren, Olivia, Caleb, Owen, Rylee, Zade and Lavender; his mother Kathryn Fitzsimmons (Bickford); his siblings, Duane Fitzsimmons (Barb), Dwight Fitzsimmons (Cathy) and Lemoyne Stogin; and his close friend John Arthur. He is also survived by nephews, other family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM and on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Point Baptist Church (949 Fountain St, Mineral Point, WI 53565). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions made directly to the family to plant an apple grove in David's memory are greatly appreciated.
