He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob James and Mae James (Roethlisberger); and his brother Donald James. He is survived by: his brother Tom James (Christina) of Mineral Point; his niece Staci Sauer (Matt) of Mineral Point; his nephew Jeremiah James of Combined Locks, WI; and his great-nephews, Aiden and Landen Sauer. He is also survived by several cousins, friends.

David also loved to help out until Parkinson's disease took away his physical ability.
