It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara E. Meylor Zaffino of Mineral Point, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 29, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carson Jinkins and Maye Jinkins; her husbands, Marvin "Red" Meylor and Frank Zaffino; her son Jim Meylor; her daughter-in-law Becky; and her stepdaughter Frances.
She is survived by: her children, Joanne Ross (Larry), Jerry Meylor (Deb), Jean Mishler (Steve), Judy Pelton (Doug) and Jeffery Meylor (Birgitta); her daughter-in-law Mary Meylor; her stepchildren, Rosemary Lattz, Mary Jo Keiser (Tom), Diane Rogers, Butch Zaffino (Karen), Phillip Zaffino (Tamara), Mike Zaffino (Robbin) and Vickie Rogers (Tim); and her grandchildren, Kelley McCann, Kari Cahn, Cory Ross, Jamey Ross, Danielle Lindsey, Erica Meylor, Brittany Strigel, Andera Anderson, Maria Curtin, Shane Carey, Kyle Carey, Keaton Carey, Marissa Kaim, Jenna Meylor and Rachel Meylor. She is also survived by 11 step grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Early in the COVID pandemic, her grandchildren held a virtual contest to see who could make the best version of Grandma Barb's cookies.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Mineral Point Fire Department or the Mineral Point Rescue Squad.
