She was predeceased by: her parents, Bonnie Steege and John Steege; her brothers, Alan and Russell Steege; and her friend Larry Coelin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jolene Steege and Shannon Steege Peris (David); her granddaughters, Lila and Chloe; and her siblings, Pamela Olson, Patsy Manke, William and Thomas Steege. She is also survived by numerous aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Penny's name may be sent to either the International Rett Syndrome Association or the American Cancer Society.
