She made friends with many people in the various places that she worked.
Ruth and Bill were very active in St. Therese parish, holding Sunday bible study groups and volunteering at the church. Their doors were always open, and they welcomed a number of foreign exchange students into their home. They hosted many social gatherings, where Ruth was sure to provide a delicious home cooked meal and Brandy Old Fashioned.
Ruth loved traveling, she and Bill traveled back home to Bermuda, all over Europe, and even China and Thailand. After retirement, she and Bill enjoyed 18 winters in Naples, Florida, making memories with Ruth's sister Jeanne and her late husband, Gary Pantry, as well as other family and friends.
