Rosemary Miller Obituary
(nee Heinzelmann) Passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024 with loved ones at her side, at age 88. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Miller, parents Josef and Sophie Heinzelmann and brothers and sisters-in-law, Conrad (Ginny) Heinzelmann, Fred (Erni) Heinzelmann and Erv (Pat) Heinzelmann. She is survived by her loving children Catherine Miller (Kirt Rieder), Joseph Miller, Elisabeth Miller (Charlie Meyers) and Robin Miller (Jeremy Eudaly), her cherished granddaughters Tilda, Eva and Ivy, her dear cousin Elisabeth (Carl) Hering and many loved nieces, nephews and friends.
Born in Milwaukee to German immigrants, she graduated high school a year early at 17 and went to work as a secretary at the Marquette University Dental School. In 1966 she married Bob and they raised four children. Rose's greatest role was motherhood and she loved her children with abundance. She volunteered at Washington Elementary School tutoring English to children who were recent immigrants and worked at St. Sebastian's for 24 years. In her retirement she enjoyed time with her grandchildren whom she described as her greatest joy.
Rose made lifelong friends and cherished their comradery. There was always good food, laughter and conversation in her home. Rose sought for a more inclusive world, whether it was an extra chair at her dinner table or concern for the downtrodden in society. She had a true appreciation for the little things in life. She was sweet, witty, loving and strong.
Many thanks to her daughter, Robin, for her care of Rose as her health declined. Her funeral will be held on November 18th at St. Sebastian Church, 5400 W. Washington Blvd. Visitation at 10:30 am, Mass at noon, with lunch to follow.
