She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mirenda and Sarah Mirenda; and her siblings, Joanne (Glorioso) and Joseph. She is survived by: her husband Wayne; her children, Jan Smith (Scott Valitchka) and John (Karen Rasmussen); her grandson Christiaan Smith-Kotlarek (Cara); her great grandchildren, Cameron and Clark; and her siblings, Marie (Breitbach) and John (Kris).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributing to one of Rose's favorite charities in her name. Rose was faithful to the Miraculous Medal Association in Perryville, MO; supporting women and children as victims of domestic violence (Sojourner Truth House, Milwaukee); the American Heart Association; and the Alzheimer's Association.
