He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Schaefer and Mabel Schaefer. He is survived by: his wife Rita Schaefer; his children, Douglas (Janet), Matthew (Kerstin) and Tiffany Hicks (Adam); his grandchildren, Malyha, Lucian, Asriel and Jyannalee; and his brother Donald Schaefer (Diane). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association in Roger's name would be appreciated or also to the family.
