Robert W. Bell Obituary
Robert W. Bell life long resident of Milwaukee and Mequon passed away peacefully on May 15, 2024.
Born January 22, 1947 in Milwaukee WI to the late Mary Ann and Ray Bell. Preceded in death by a brother Roger. Survived by his loving wife Tina; son Robert Michael; sisters Janet Pilling (Armin), Patricia Schmerling (Don) and Betty Ann DeVorse (Chris); sister-in-law Marge Rodriguez (Jan Lanan); nieces, nephews and loyal dog Murphy III.
Robert "Bobby" as he was familiarly known was raised in Milwaukee WI attending Marquette High School and Marquette University. Bobby's Jesuit education and Catholic upbringing gave him resource and strength throughout his life. Bobby's life's work came out of part time tavern jobs while attending Marquette where he contemplated a law career. Seeing opportunity he ventured into a business that through his hard work would become Milwaukee establishment fixtures. Owning the Red Baron, the lively dance club Papagaio and The Authentic English Pub John Hawks, Bobby's 47 year career was filled with challenges and triumphs. While the former two had successful runs the latter, John Hawks will be what Bobby's brand of service and hospitality will be remembered for.
Visitation Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 10:00am until time of Mass of Chrsitian Burial at 11:00am at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2750 W Mequon Rd., Mequon. Private burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
