He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Jr. Melvin and Audrey Melvin; his former wives, Shirley Melvin and Almira Tiedke; his brother Tim; his uncles, Arthur, Jerry and Frank "Bo"; and his sister-in-law Marie.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Gara-Melvin; his children, Sean Melvin and Katie Schultz (Andy); his stepson David (Bridgette); his grandchildren, Holly (Jacob), Anakin, Charles and Emerson; his great grandchildren, Mason and Jackson; and his brothers, Pat, Corey (Susan), Frank and Chris (Gillian). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Prasser-Kleczka South Suburban Chapel (6080 S 27th St, Milwaukee, WI 53221). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location.
