He was predeceased by: his parents, Danny Ruff and Christine Ruff (Burke); his daughter Melissa Vega; and his brothers, Danny Ruff Jr. and Keith Griffin.

He is survived by: his siblings, Edward Ruff (Phyllis) and Pamela Ruff; his nephew James Ruff; and his grandchildren, Arianna Vega and Nicholas Vega. He is also survived by one great grandchild and many other family members, relatives and friends.
