He was predeceased by: his parents, George Courtney and Edna Courtney (Horn); his brothers, James Courtney and Jerome Courtney; his brother-in-law Gordon Wenham; and his son-in-law Todd Carlson (Dora Blum).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Rech; his children, Terri Carlson (Courtney), Robert Courtney and Michael Courtney (Christine); his grandchildren, Stephanie Courtney and Joshua Courtney; his sister Judy Wenham; and also Blum.
