He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Brandl and Laurina Brandl (Junemann); his siblings, Allen, Lucille Thomas (Bob), Marvin, Raymond, Kenneth and Patricia Linzmeier (Francis); and his nephews, Corey Linzmeier and Shawn Hamus.
He is survived by: his sister Louise Hamus (David) of Rudolph; his nieces and nephews, Carri Ann Linzmeier (Jeremy Golla) of Milladore, Bob Thomas (Anne), Randy Thomas (Dawn), RaeAnn Gust (Jon), Robyn Thomas, Marvin Brandl Jr., Paula Brandl (Roger Anderson), Todd Brandl (Donna), Renea Brandl, Tina Grorich (Dan), Tania Halbersma (Jerry) and Ann Hamus; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Brandl and Nancy Brandl.
