He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Briggs and Lois Barry; and his son Darin Briggs. He is survived by: his wife Janet Wachendorf; his daughter Denise Briggs (Tom Rabbach); his brothers, Robert "Reb" Briggs and Doug Briggs (Lana); and his niece Ashley Briggs.

Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
