He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Vlack and Caroline Vlack of Kewaunee, WI.; and his brother David Vlack of Depere, WI.. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Bendorf; his children, Greg Vlack (Jenni) of Fitchburg, WI and Lisa Constantelos (John) of Clayton, NC; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Alexis Vlack of Madison, WI, Valerie Wilson (Noah) of Raleigh, NC and Stephanie Constantelos of Raleigh.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in memory of Verne to the Dane County Humane Society, Madison, Wisconsin, Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin, or to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Middleton, Wisconsin.
