He was predeceased by: his parents, Del Esser and Phyllis Esser (Pfister). He is survived by: his wife Mary Hill; his children, Jennie Esser, Beth Ann Esser and Scott Esser (Christina); his grandchildren, Bryelle, Jaeda, Moriah, Elijah and Forest; and his sisters, Mary Ellen Hill (Richard), Jane Busch (Bud) and Patti Bellissimo (Tom). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mike's name to the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association.
