She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fenella Schumann (Ketelboeter) and Alvin Schumann; her sister Judy; her husband George Thomas (Duke); her sisters, Eunice Christianson (Judy Schaefer) of Middleton and Mich; and her grandchildren, Melissa Denton, Jess Denton (Katie), Megan Sukowatey (Joe), Morgan Weisberger (Brian), Nicholas Thomas, Stacey Bauer (Brett), Sarah Ziemba (Ben) and Lisa Jensen (Matt). She was also cherished by four children.
