He was predeceased by: his parents, Byrl Lawrence and Dorothy Lawrence (Vanderhoof); his brother Alden Lawrence; and his son Aric Lawrence. He is survived by: his former wife Nancy Bloczynski; his children, Tanya Ponshock (Pat) of Auburndale, Tara Ziaya (Matt Lang) of Marshfield, Josh Lawrence (Rebecca) of Eau Claire, Amy Lawrence of Janesville and Trina Grothmann; his grandchildren, Marissa Ponshock, Alexander Ponshock, Jenna Osowski (Tim), Carter Ziaya, Nolan Lang, Bree Lang, Anna Lang and Grayson Lawrence; his great grandchildren, Stryder Miller, Braydon and Bryson Osowski; and his brothers, Raymond Lawrence (Marge) of Marshfield and Rocky Lawrence (Lavonne) of Neillsville. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
