It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viljo Piikkila of Merrill, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Viljo find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon A. Piikkila and Lempi Lydia Piikkila (Joki); and his sibling Johann Piikkila. He is survived by: his wife Margery Lundgoot; and his sons, Thomas (Colleen Matula) of Mason, WI, Paul (Lisa Brandenburg) of Appleton, WI and Matthew (Patricia Weix) of Marinette, WI. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
