He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Marmes and Marie Marmes (Clay); his daughters, Baby Girl Marmes and Donna Whitzell; his grandchildren, Heather and Noah; his stepdaughter Connie Isaacson; his stepson-in-law Michael Woller; and his brother Peter Marmes.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Marmes; his sons, Dan Marmes and Eric Salyers; his stepchildren, Penny Gryskiewicz (Kip) of Merrill, Bonnie Woller of Merrill and Scott Breuning (Pam) of Merrill; and his siblings, Larry Marmes of Antigo, Pat Lee of Antigo, John Marmes (Lynne) of Antigo, Jerry Marmes (Sue) of Antigo and Mary Kaye Walter (Bob). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren.
