He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Sazama and Josephine Sazama (Rosenthal); his wife Mary Jo (Daley); his brother-in-law Walter Schwarting; his brother Jerry; and his sister-in-law Joan Daley.

He is survived by: his children, Jeanne Custy (Kevin) of Lone Tree, CO, Joanne Andress (Paul) of Colgate, WI, Julie Hogan (Michael) of New Brighton, MN and Jerry Sazama (Gina) of Waconia, MN; and his sisters, Mary Jo Schwarting of Oconomowoc, WI and Karen Sonnentag (Richard) of Oconomowoc, WI. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Taylor-Stine-Waid Funeral and Cremation Service (301 Eagle Dr, Merrill, WI 54452). A rosary will be held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (1708 E 10th St, Merrill, WI 54452). A burial will be held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery (1708 E 10th St, Merrill, WI 54452).
