He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Smith and Hattie Smith (Lange); his parents-in-law, Harvey and Isabell Iwen; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Smith, Dawn Smith, Chester Luedtke, Thomas Noonan, Earl Wagner, Mike Carlson and Florian Pfuhl.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Iwen of Merrill; his brothers, Gerald "Jerry" Smith, David Smith (Sue) and Dennis Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Harvey Iwen (Donna), Gail Luedtke of Merrill, Harriet Pfuhl of Merrill, Judy Noonan of Merrill, Kay Myers of Merrill and Gwen Carlson of Merrill. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's name may be directed to the Lincoln County Humane Society or St. John Lutheran Church.
