He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Mootz and Meta Mootz; his brother Dan Mootz; and his child Joseph Edward Mootz. He is survived by: his wife Helen Kay Mootz; his children, John Mootz (JoAnn), James Mootz (Ginnie) and Leah Sliwa (Adam); his brother Ken Mootz (Sandy); and his sister-in-law Karen Mootz.
