He is survived by: his wife Connie Kleinschmidt of Merrill; his children, Lori Smith (Peter) of Merrill and Gregory Kleinschmidt (Anne) of Antigo; his grandchildren, McKenah Martens (Ben), Tanner Smith (EmmaLee), Adam Kleinschmidt, Keith Kleinschmidt and Kari Kleinschmidt; his great grandchildren, Lakelyn, Watson, Rowen and June; his brother-in-law Earl Volz; and his nieces, Kay Kellbach Sims and Stacy Maly.
