He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Jim Karau. He is survived by: his former wife Carol Hommerding; his children, Benjamin Hommerding (Misty) and Amanda Vokolek (George); his grandsons, Grayson and Gavin; and his siblings, Thomas Hommerding (Jane), Cindy Hommerding and Jan (Gary).
