He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Gilson and Beatrice Gilson (Larson). He is survived by: his wife Marsha Gilson; his daughters, Rachel Beilke and Shannon Butler (Jeff); his grandchildren, Noah, Isaiah Beilke and Michaela Kienbaum; and his siblings, Nita Slavinsky (Dave) and Ron Gilson (Stacy).
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials to either Trinity Lutheran Church or School or the Lincoln County Humane Society.
