He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Sczygelski and Anna Sczygelski (Kordus); his siblings, Regina Roets (Norman), Esther Ament (Jerome "Jim"), Genevieve Hollenback (Jerome "Jerry"), Charles Sczygelski (Joyce), Lawrence Sczygelski (Vivian) and Anthony Sczygelski; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Eckardt and LaVern Brunow.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Sczygelski; his children, Mark Sczygelski (Ann), Andrew Sczygelski and Heidi Haltinner (Norbert); his sister Rosemary Eckardt; and his sisters-in-law, Lorraine Brunow and Corrine Sczygelski. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations in John's name be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church for their renovation project.
