Jean C. Folta Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean C. Folta of Merrill, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 2, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Rajek and Anna Rajek (Beyer); her sister Lois Dorn; and her sons-in-law, Gary Peterson and Rob Rothmeyer.
She is survived by: her child Jean; her husband Joe Folta; her children, Sue Seslar (Tom), Tammie Sladek (Brian) and Bill Folta (Dawn) of Merrill; her grandchildren, Chris Peterson (Marie), Erin Koehler (Matt), Derrick Seslar (Jenny), Amanda Juech (Mike), Mark Folta (Jessica), Brian Folta (Lindsey), Kyle Rothmeyer (Sarah), Jared Rothmeyer (Erin), Jimmy Sladek and Renee Sladek; her great grandchildren, Greta, Garik, Will, Evelyn, Colton, Thea, Marcella, Elsie, Isabel, Hector, Hattie, Hazel, Graham and Sutton; and her brother-in-law Rick Dorn (Linda). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations in Jean's name be directed to either the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or the Merrill Historical Society.
